Ø      Recycling Facilities            

Ox Mountain Recycling

       3 miles east of Half Moon Bay off of San Mateo Road (Hwy. 92).

       Hours of operation: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily except Sundays.

Closed only for New Years Day, President's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas; we also close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

       Materials accepted at Ox Mountain Sanitary Landfill include:

·        Used Motor Oil (limit of 5-gallons)

·        Used Motor Oil Filters

·        Used Antifreeze

       Materials NOT accepted at Ox Mountain Sanitary Landfill include:

·        Paint, varnishes, and stains

·        Cleaning fluids and solvents

·        Pool chemicals

·        Batteries

·        Automotive fluids, oil filters, or parts

·        Pesticides, herbicides, or poisons

·        Medical waste

·        Fluorescent tubes

·        Televisions and computer monitors (see Television, Computer Monitor, and Electronic Recycling)

·         Propane tanks

Beverage Container Buy Back Centers

       Locations:

      Address:    70 Cabrillo Hwy North, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019

                        The Nexcycle facility is located directly behind Safeway in the parking lot.

      Days and hours of operation:     Mon, Tues, Fri, & Sat:    10:00am-4:30pm

                                                         Lunch Break:    1pm-2pm

Ø San Carlos Transfer Station
225 Shoreway Road, San Carlos

       Hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Closed on legal Holidays)

       For additional information about waste disposal please call:  (650) 592-0255.

       Materials accepted at the San Carlos Transfer Facility include:

·        Latex Paint

·        Used Motor Oil

·        Used Motor Oil Filters

·        Used Antifreeze Rechargeable Batteries

·        Computers

·        Small Electronic Equipment and Peripheral Devices
